David Hartshorn originated and grew up playing soccer in Newport South Wales, UK.  David represented Wales school boys at U15 & U16 level.  He continued his soccer development at Newport County FC and progressed through the ranks from youth team player to the senior team.  His experience at the club, inspired him to study and play and at one of the leading sports universities in the UK, University of Wales Institute Cardiff, where he earned his bachelors degree in Sports Coaching and Sports Psychology.

David has coached for over 10 years and currently holds his USSF National “D” license.  Over his 10 years of coaching, David coached at University level, overseen camp and academy programs in over 30 states in America, and worked with a disability youth soccer team, where a number of the players gained international recognition.

David coached at Washington Premier FC for three years with the B98 & B03 teams, gaining success with the B98 Navy team who were crowned 2014-2015 Division 2 Presidents Cup Winners.

David is soon to be married to his fiancé Sherri.  His favorite soccer team is Manchester United, and he likes to watch them play whenever possible.
