David Proud has an extensive background in soccer, both as a player and coach. The Washington state native played competitively throughout his youth, including time with the Washington ODP squad, advancing to the State Championships during his U-17 and U-18 seasons.
During his collegiate years, Proud spent a season each with Green River Community College and Highline Community College before moving to Concordia University- Portland, OR where he played from 2007 to 2008. As a member of the CU Cavaliers, Proud earned First-Team Cascade Collegiate Conference honors and advanced to the Round of 16 in the National tournament with the team in 2008. In 2009, David took on a student assistant coaching position with the University as he completed his BA in Psychology.
In addition to his collegiate experience, David spent time on the semi-professional scene as a player of the PDL franchise Fresno Fuego, and the Kitsap Pumas of the PISL.
As a coach, Proud started his career with MRFC in the Bonney Lake area and moved to Slammers in Auburn for a year. He the took on a Youth Academy Director and head coach position at Madison FC in Madison, Wisconsin. David currently holds a USSF National “B” license.
David’s hobbies include continuing to play soccer & playing golf.
