Devin Mendiola will begin his coaching career at GSSurf as the head coach for the Boys 07C and 05D teams after working under current Director of Development Paul Bayly at Northwest Nationals for a year.
Born and raised in the area, Devin captained Northwest Nationals as a youth player for 4 years before changing to Snohomish United where he would go on to win state cup in his u18 season. After club Devin attended Bellevue College for a semester playing under fellow Surf coach Sasha Shefts. Shortly after the college season Devin was invited to play for the Guam National Team where he was able to acquire multiple international caps.
Devin currently holds National F license and is enrolled to take his E later this year. This will be Devin’s second year of coaching at the premier level. Devin also has 10 years of personal training and running youth soccer camps with his parents who both have their National D license and a combined 30 years of coaching. More recently, Devin has been spending his time coaching soccer camps with the UK Elite and the Seattle Sounders Youth Camps.
