A successful professional soccer player, Hugo was a member of the Seattle Sounders from 2007-2008, and the Portland Timbers from 2002 – 2006.

During his tenure with Portland, he established himself as the Timbers’ all-time leader in assists. Including being ranked second in games played, and as well as third in points for the club. He assisted the club by claiming their first USL First Division Commissioner’s Cup; he was awarded the Assist Leader Statistical award twice in his career, becoming the first player in league history to win the honor twice consecutively.

In Seattle he contributed to winning the double, in which he claimed the commissioners cup and his first USL First Division Championship. On February, 2010 he was ranked 15th in the USL First Division Top 25 of the Decade, which announced a list of the best and most influential players of the previous decade.

Hugo has 10 years of youth coaching experience and was honored with Washington Youth Soccer’s “Boys Competitive Coach of the Year” award for the 2010-2011 season.  He holds a USSF “B” License.

In his free time Hugo likes to spend time with his family and friends.
